This monitor is very easy to read and even easier to use. It combines the accuracy of a much bulkier heart rate monitor with the non-restrictive ease of a simple wrist watch. The easy to read face screen not only displays your ECG accurate heart rate reading, but also the amount of calories burned, the time spent exercising, the distance you have traveled, your speed and number of steps. There is no chest belt required so you don't even know it's on unless you check your wrist, as if you were simply checking the time.
It's a great help when you are focused on a target heart rate, as it incorporates its own target heart rate zone program, with a 3 beat speed sensor for complete accuracy. If you should get out of your heart rate zone an alarm will sound to notify you to either slow down or pick it up a notch. With the chronograph, and countdown timer you are able to time your workouts with extreme accuracy, and you can do so in dual Time (12/24 hour setting).
The EL Backlight makes it easier than ever to view your statistics in the dim light of early morning or dusky evening, for those who work out around an already taxing schedule. You can keep track of your progress, and monitor any discrepancies during your sessions with the 7-day and 10-week memory recall options. Even those who prefer to work out in a slightly wetter environment (swimmers and/or divers) can use this heart rate monitor, due to its water resistance up to 50 meters.
