Polar CS Cadence Sensor
The Polar CS Cadence Sensor is designed to be a part of a complete cycling system, including the CS Speed Sensor and any compatible Polar CS Cycling Computer. The Cadence Sensor attaches to your bicycle, and during your cycling workout, measures the speed at which you pedal and wirelessly transmits the data to your CS Cycling Computer to be downloaded later to your personal computer.
Once this data has been transferred to your personal computer, it can be graphed against the other data tabulated during your workout, such as speed and heart rate. Tracking your speed and heart rate against your pedaling cadence will help you determine the best cadence for your body type.
In cycling, finding the proper cadence is the key to becoming a maximum-efficiency cyclist. Pedaling too quickly results in a highly elevated heart rate, and pedaling too slowly causes the leg muscles to burn from lactic acid buildup. Finding the proper balance for your body will give you the ability to cycle at higher speeds, for greater periods of time, before fatigue sets in.
